Arts & Craft Show

Today we finally went down to the big Arts & Crafts show that is held weekly along the beach in downtown Santa Barbara.
It was a sunny yet overcast day, but better than the rain we had yesterday.  We've been so anxious to see this show, and finally were able to today.  We walked all over from the harbor to the furtherest beach and saw all sorts of people having so much fun.  There were vacationers riding in pedal cars, locals just enjoying being out, and everything in between.  Toby and Elvis always enjoy being in the fresh air and sunshine, but they did get tired out a bit.
I had to put Toby in his bag and he gave me such an "I'm so tired"
look!  Poor things have it so rough.
This show is put on every Sunday by local artisans and crafters.  I hope that I will be accepted by the committee with some of my DoggieArt items, and I can do the show one day.  It's a lengthy process to be accepted, and there is a waiting list for spaces.
It was a lovely day and we got lots of sun and fresh air and we're all tired, but a good tired.
Hope you had a great Sunday, too!

The boys posing near the beach in front of a baby palm

One of the pedal cars that were all over today

A view of Stearn's Wharf pier

Lots of families watching the birds

Don't these look fun?

A view from the walking path towards the mountains

A boat wreck that is a tourist's favorite for photos

Lots of birds

Birds again

Elvis checking out the beach

He is learning to love it as much as Toby does

A view from the beach towards the area where the show is

The show area, with the beach right behind

What fun! Just letting the wind blow through their hair...

Such cuties!

This is a big skateboard park that's right by the beach

Right behind the vendors, looking towards the beach
We laid a blanket out and relaxed here in the sun for awhile

Another view with the vendors to the left, beach to the right

A view of the vendors towards the mountains

I love the palm trees !

Beautiful palms all along the oceanside

Toby resting in the grass

Checking out the other doggies, I'm sure

Vendors and people enjoying the day

More palms !  So many varieties !

A marker describing why Cabrillo Blvd. is named what it is
This is the road that runs in front of the beach where the show is

So many neat things to look at

Another variety of palm tree across the street

A view of the walking path and ocean

East Beach, lots of wind surfers and a sailboat getting ready

A view towards the pier showing the walking path

Really lovely place

A group of people in the pedal cars resting
There were so many out and they all seemed to be having a ball

The sailboat again down on the beach

There was a lot of activity out in the channel today

Me and my boys

So many palm trees all along the beach

More of the vendors and a few pedal cars resting

Such an awesome view

The boys are tired now, I've been carrying them in the bag...
I'm tired too !  Somehow I don't think that's considered
taking the dog for a walk....

Stearn's Wharf

We've had a great time, but we're ready to go home
These poor boys need a nap....life is sooo hard for them
