The continuing saga of a boy and his education...... We got to school on time and waited with all the other future scholars. It was another really beautiful day in Santa Barbara.  We had missed a few weeks of class due to the teacher having surgery.  It was like the first night again and the dogs were all a bit frisky.   I just wonder if all these doggies could ever be as smart as I am? A little guy could feel intimidated around all these big doggies. A few of the dogs took time to say hello. Mom says she used to have two of those white dogs.  She says they were sure different to take care of than me and Toby! (I think she upgraded when she got us!) Hmm, this looks boring, doesn't it?  It really wasn't!   Lots of people were late, so we had to hang around.  Good thing most of us dogs are patient with you humans... This little gray fella was so full of energy tonight!   Will the person who's dog left a present by the bushes please come forward and clean it up?? We just loved this doggie.  Such a pretty dog.   Here's our teacher!  She's got very good doggies.  She's trying to teach us all to be good too. Socialization is a very good thing for all doggies. First we practiced everything we learned before, and then practiced the new lessons from tonight.  Can you see how good I am?  I am doing a "down stay".  Mom walked all around me, and I stayed put! See my "sit stay"?  Can you even find me on this blanket? Okay, mom...I'll stay down and I'll "stay".  But, I won't take my eyes off of you while you walk around me! This stuff is so easy!   Now, the fun stuff!  We all got massages!  The teacher is teaching our moms and dads how to feel our bodies so they will know if we ever get any bumps that shouldn't be there.  She also is showing them how to spend time with us every day giving us nice, comforting massages.... Ahhhhhh....  I like this class! I think all the doggies like this part! I'm just going to get comfy so mom can give me a massage. Oh, laying here with mom...this is fun!  I got my head rubbed and my legs, belly, feet...woohoo...I feel so much better!   This isn't so bad coming here every week, I guess.
